Editorial and Photo Policy
About this policy
VisitCalatagan.com is a local travel guide operated by Jayson, a Calatagan resident since 2022. We help visitors compare places, understand practical arrangements and find official contacts. Read about the site for its background.
How information is prepared
Our guides combine research, original local media and planning advice. A research-based guide is not a personal review of every place it mentions. We use official business, government and operator sources where available and link them so readers can check changing details. AI assistance may be used for research organisation, drafting and maintenance; it does not establish a fact or personal visit.
Dates, prices and uncertainty
A research-check date records when sources were checked, not when every photo was taken or when a business confirmed information directly. Published menus and policies may change. Calculations and planning assumptions are labelled, and unconfirmed details should not be treated as guaranteed services. Confirm rates, opening hours, access and reservations with the provider before travelling.
Recommendations and ratings
Recommendations should explain their practical basis. Advertised amenities are distinct from independently tested performance. Google ratings are snapshots, not live guarantees. When a restaurant listing uses reviews of its parent resort, the label identifies the resort; those reviews are not represented as restaurant-only reviews.
Photos and video
Original photos and video identified by Jayson are credited to Jayson / VisitCalatagan.com. Other media may belong to businesses, contributors or licensors; ownership remains with the respective creator. A source credit does not itself establish reuse permission. We keep source and ownership records, and media requiring confirmation should be reviewed separately. Images illustrate conditions when captured and should not be read as current availability, safety, prices or operating policy.
Affiliate links
Some booking links may earn the site a commission at no additional cost to the reader. Compare the selected booking’s total and conditions with official property information. An affiliate link is not verification of a rate or endorsement of every claim on the destination page.
Corrections and contributions
Use the contact page or email hello@visitcalatagan.com to identify a correction. Include the page URL, the detail that needs updating and supporting evidence if available. For a photo contribution, identify the creator and the permission to use it. Please do not send payment information, identity documents or other unnecessary private data.
Submitted corrections and contributions require verification. We do not guarantee publication or describe contributed experiences as our own. Material revisions should be dated, and verified information should remain distinct from opinion or estimates.
